HudsonWay NJ students compete in Final Local Spelling Bee Round

HWIS is proud to have had two students compete in the Morris Literation Nation Spelling Bee held at Morristown Inn on Saturday, March 7. This the first time that HWIS entered this contest and we were well represented with Cameron Williams, Grade 5 and Mary Zhang, Grade 5 as two of 8 participants in the final local round. HWIS was the only school with two representatives. Many of the other students were in local middle schools in the surrounding area. The winner goes onto compete at the Scripps National Spelling Bee held in late May in Maryland. It was a terrific experience and we are very proud of Cameron and Mary and thank everyone including our administrators and teachers that made this event possible, and other students and parents who came out to support our spellers!
